The missile that forced the Soviets into the INF treaty
That might offend the Left-wing surrender monkeys in Britain...
;^)
We have Apache and Kiowa helicopters. Our Paratroopers supposedly shout, “Geronimo!” as they step out of the planes. How many other enemies do we honor in such a fashion?
Some technology may get banned, but, the knowledge and plans on how to reactive it doesn’t.
If we did that good luck to China and Russia on finding them at all among the millions that exist already.
Kiowa is gone dude. Sorry. OH-58 retired. All national guard Apache got pulled to activate duty.
“” “” no need to pretend someone else is violating it
The Russians were violating it big time.”” “”
Or it is that was said.
“” “” Actually it was a very good treaty that Russia violated and destroyed by their actions and not ours. “” “”
That is not exactly true. The US was seeking an excuse to withdraw for quite some time and the main reason is not to be restricted by the treaty to which China is not a part of.
Another point is that according to Russian intelligence US is in violation of the treaty since about 2004 using planned ABM infrastructure in Europe as a cover for deploying INF.
It is very well might be true considering the technology used for ABMs. It basically demands the same support equipment as any standard US naval missile and for that reason an ABM site only needs ordnance replaced to become an INF base.
Inderect evidence to this theory is a recent test of US INF which for some reason turned to be a land variant of Tomahawk missile.
Which sophistry are you talking about?
You think we didn’t know others were developing such missiles and that we knew that we also needed to keep up “behind the scenes” to keep from committing suicide by neglect?
“They should make the missile launcher look exactly like a semi tractor trailer to be hauled anywhere by any semi tractor.”
The communist Chinese have missiles inside standard shipping containers.
Looks like that is just what they did.
They used the MK-41 launcher, already in service, and mounted a Tomahawk missile on it. All you need to do is put sides and a roof on it, to camouflage it as a standard shipping container. We can be reasonably sure they have prepared that.
The Russians were clearly violating for many years and the NATO members all agreed.
They simply played into our hands vis a vis China.
