I know and while I’m looking forward to His return, I weep for my unbelieving family members. Bless you.

Just leave a few tracts (gasp!) in various locations - 17 cents apiece. Pray for them and do that. Maybe it will work on some of them when the 7-year peace covenant is broken and THIS begins:

Can you imagine how much Brasso it would take to keep that thing clean! (Four years in the Navy...I still smell Brasso.)

This is what Iran did to our navy guys in the rubber boat a year or two ago. Then they put them on display on TV before eventually letting them go.

We should park a warship off Abu Musa and shell it until the GPS jammer stops. I’d use GPS missiles, but a naval artillery bombardment is so much more soothing and psychologically effective.

It’s too bad all the old battleships were retired...

Wrong.

Quite a few moons ago, I went to EE school (4 or 5-year University) with a number of Persians, as we then called them. Only a few were good at, say, troubleshooting a circuit. But, at theory and being able to do the math in their heads while the rest of us (including some really smart Asians) were fumbling with plugging values for the variables into our calculators for, oh, say a 20+ character equation including maybe a log function and an arctangent (or whatever), several of those guys had no peers. They’d promptly spit out an answer to 5 digits of precision and maybe be off by a couple (say, a “5” instead of “7” on only the last digit.) “Seven-hundred-forty-three-point-two-five.” The rest of us would be looking at each other with slightly dropped jaws and muttering the f-word under our breaths...

Common sense? Well, that was a bit different matter.

Negligent and foolish. Sadly, the requirements for licences has diminished and basic navigation skills for pilots is lacking.
I’m sure that boating navigation skills are lacking as well.

we need to start putting big smoking holes in the ground where their military bases used to be.

we could even warn them, let them evacuate... then blammo.

One base at a time until they see the light

You are in error. Look up GPS Spoofing. It is very real and the Russians are good at it. Our military grade GPS units have an "anti-spoofing" feature built in for just this reason.

They are not just trying to block the signal with brute force noise jamming, but trying to distort the position fix.

I do not think SAASM is available on civilian GPS such as these ships would have.

In fairness to the present day navigators, the precision required to avoid Iranian waters is slightly harder than setting sail and heading in the general direction of England or “India” as the Vikings or Columbus did long ago. The Polynesians used the stars to navigate and the Hawaiian Islands extend over one thousand miles. Hard to miss them. (Hilo to Midway)

What if coordinated crises? The Iranians make a major move against international shipping in the Gulf, and China sends the People’s Liberation Army into Hong Kong “to maintain order” at the request of Ms Quisling.
