If she opposes anti-depressants I completely agree with her.

You wouldn’t post that if you or your family were affected by this terrible disease.

I replaced Prozak w/ Vitamin D. That was the whole problem.

Alright, now I have to put my foot down.

There is no better option than talking to one’s refrigerator in Deutsch!

I cannot let that statement stand, Lumberjack!

But seriously, I am a former pill addict, Xanax was the drug. I am very leery of how effectively pills change how the body functions, and the danger with them occurs once the pills stop being taken.

It is at that point one realizes that the body has become dependent on the pills, and this can happen very easily with anti-depressants, as prolonged use causes the brain to stop naturally producing the supplied drug or hormone.

Anti-depressants can actually become pro-depressants in a manner similar to how anti-anxiety meds can become pro-anxiety meds over the long term.

I’ve got bipolar disorder family members who take lithium to keep from literally going crazy, I’m not taking about happy pills here.

Most Democrats use psychiatric drugs both legal and illegal. If you denounce such drugs , you are eviscerating their core psyche.

Anti depressants suck. Chronic depression is real. But, the “cure” is almost as bad as the disease.

Lithium is also one of those substances that if a person stops taking it, it can wreak havoc.

Lithium is a CNS agent, and anything that alters the CNS should be handled cautiously because of the rebound effect.

It is my general advice to not mess with one’s CNS. Don’t do it. I’ve done it, it’s bad.

As far as crazy family members go, I think some people don’t know how to control their thoughts, and end up letting their thoughts control them. All thoughts are not valid, some should be ignored and shelved away. The brain is an imperfect machine.

Real bi-polar disorder is serious, but people who are labeled or label others as having bi-polar disorder, frequently use it as a crutch to avoid personal accountability for one’s thinking, decisions, and behavior.

More often than not, the problem is triggered by pulling the pin on the arrogance grenade, which if goes unaddressed, simply explodes and fractures the life and thinking of the arrogant, as well as those around them.

".... isn't that not a good message?..."

How do people like Cooper become hosts of TV programs when they don't even have good command of the English language?

Everybody knows that using a double negative in a sentence is a no-no. It's poor grammar and can be confusing.

Using two negatives in the same sentence in English cancels each other out and turns the sentence or message into a positive one instead of a negative one that the writer or speaker originally intended.

I deeply sympathize with you and the plight of your suffering family members. If Lithium keeps them stable then, by all means, they should take it. Bipolar is not a joke.

I’ll be brutally honest: If not for Xanax, I would definitely go off the deep end. My sister and I both suffer from severe anxiety and depression.

I used to take Prozac but I can no longer take Antidepressants because my system went haywire and my serotonin went too high. Now, If I take any kind of Antidepressants, I become incredibly paranoid and my anxiety goes through the roof. I can only take benzos, such as Xanax.

I wish the best for you and your family members who suffer from this dreadful disease.

I don’t think you’ve been around to many clinically bi-polar people.
