To anyone who believes that this moslem goat fornicating whore will ever do a single day in prison or pay a single penny in fines: I have a bridge in Brooklyn that I'd like to sell you.

If she is actually guilty of the crimes she could be charged with, then yeah...WE deserve to let her have her day in court!

"Normal Americans have difficulty understanding where Sharia Law ends and U.S. laws begin. [snip] Which law takes precedent in cases like this? It is confusing indeed."

No, it's not difficult and not confusing.

This is America. We have laws established by our legislators. Sharia law is not part of our justice system.

"U.S laws" begin at our borders. (such as they are...)

She’s a Democrat. Courts are for Republicans.

<>"even the once-respected Minneapolis Star Tribune "<>

I've been here over 40 years but don't remember when the Red Star was respected - except by people like Amy Klobuchar's drunken Dad, Jim.

This case will tell us more about Bill Barr than anything in the near future.

If he puts the FBI on it we got a law and order DOJ that pulls no punches....If not, just another Jeff Sessions illustrating contrived bravado.

Failure by the Justice Department to investigate this would send dangerous signals.

Since the Justice Department has already failed to investigate multiple criminal activities, e.g. Hillary!, those signals have been sent.

Too many Americans already believe know that there are two standards of justice.

So what if many Americans know that there exists 2 or 3 standards of justice? Even Trump can't change the corruption of the judicial system.

“...If he puts the FBI on it we got a law and order DOJ that pulls no punches...”
That would be nice to see, but don’t hold your breath waiting on it. Unfortunately, “equal justice under law” went out the window ages ago....destroyed by liberalism. Like everything else it touches.
What we now have some kind of twisted 2-teir justice system: a draconian one for the “unwashed masses” (that’d be us) and a feather lite one for our “elite” evil overlords, their families and their friends (kinda like the odongoCare fiasco): As long as PIAPS Clinton walks free and Juicy Smollett walks free, there is no equal justice under law. This vile moslem, American-hating POS won’t be touched either. She was never one of us, isn’t one of us and never will be. She represents the very enemy of our culture, our society and our way of life. Yet, she’s in our government in a position to rule over us. WTH????

We already had a case wherein a judge ruled that it's okay for an illegal alien to use fake documentation/steal identity, 'cause they're illegal.

A couple of years back, on what has become my annual fall excursion to Rochester Minnesota, I learned of Somali immigrants. About 100,000 of them have resettled in Minnesota, mostly in Minneapolis, but also in St. Cloud and Rochester. Due to their religious teachings, they mostly dress differently than other Minnesotans, so they are easy to identify. They were all similarly dressed. Their clothes were dark and foreboding. The women all had their heads covered, the men had their faces covered with beards. I never saw any of them smiling or laughing. Their clothes were dark and foreboding. Any speaking was in such tones to be unheard. I saw no children.

I happened to arrive the same week that a recent Somali immigrant had knifed, in an unprovoked attack, a number of non-Somali Minnesotans in St. Cloud. This was very much in the news there. This caused me to be even more careful and observant of the ones I saw.

I had taken the Ludington-Manitowoc ferry there, and on the ferry back I ran into quite a surprise. The boat was half full of people dressed in similarly identifiable religious garb. The women all had their heads covered, the men, their faces covered with beards. There were differences, though. Here, the clothes were bright and cheerful. I don't think I ever heard so much smiling and laughing and having a good time. The children were many, and all were having a grand time. The Ferry had organized Bingo and other games. There loud cheers from all when ever there was a winner, whether similarly dressed, or not.

The difference, of course, was that the ferry was populated with Amish. Their religion does not allow automobile travel, so this group was taking the Ferry to attend a wedding on the other side of Lake Michigan. The attendees were very happy to describe this to anyone nearby. They were simply having fun.

It's too bad that not all religions are so inclined.

I prefer to keep and open mind (as cynicism hasn’t completely overtaken my ability to think rationally) and will wait and see.

Thus far I have been pleasantly surprised with Barr. We’ll see if my guarded optimism of him has been misplaced.
