Race has nothing to do with it, Congress is a mafia. And like any other gang you have to pay your dues and show respect to the bosses until they accept you as “made”. Nancy wasn’t criticizing the 4x women of color (”The Squad” - Ocasio-Cortez, Ayanna Pressley (D-MA), Rashida Tlaib (D-MI), and Ilhan Omar (D-MN)), she had a private meeting with them telling them to stop criticizing fellow democrats in public forums. (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram) They’re not being team players, they’re pushing personal agenda over party agenda, they’re looking to primary fellow democrats who are moderates, they’re making the Democratic Party look weak and fragmented, disorganized.
As Sr party leadership, Nancy did exactly what she had to do, shepherd the stray lambs back into the herd. Sometimes you do that with a stick. The stick can get bigger.
These young freshman Reps have been a windfall to the Republicans. They are fragmenting the Democrats.
Doesn’t sound like she took her scolding well nor her orders to go sit in the corner.
