Oh, you are thinking God now? Now open your mind and think about how there’s more to God than a negotiation tool (which was pretty sly of Trump, not because he pleased you, but because China had gotten arrogant and committed to very expensive socialist schemes, which are now in danger).

Stuff it pal. Don’t bring God into this. I am an American not a “citizen of the word” like you. I think you are a Commie. Marx was a free traitor too.

America showed the world that it didn’t have to be a zero sum game. And it was a robust belief in God that made it possible. God isn’t some theory. God is a being who WILL bless in response to the right attitudes.

Yes farming is ghetto compared to mining and manufacturing. Agriculture is only 4% of our economy and doesn’t product the wealth that the other two produce. This why the 3rd world is the 3rd world..

You are already busy stuffing it — into hell. I am trying to stop that, but even my efforts will end if you insist. That doesn’t change the fate towards which you careen.

By the way a wise America won’t support Marxism, and China could stand to be taught that lesson. Granted there. But even there, not much is needed to make cases like China hit a wall. We don’t have to punish ourselves wantonly in the process.

If you really want your country back there are no entitlements in the Constitution.

No Taxation Without Representation!

“.....desert conditions threaten.”

And that is not Trump’s fault either. Only God can do that. But they’ll blame Trump for it.

Our society, especially our education system, has been blowing the smoke of lies for years about the real world and what it takes to survive let alone excel. It is only an opportunity if you take it, hold on, and make it your own.

Participation trophies don’t count when someone else has to pay more than nickels and dimes and that free ride ended up in the unemployment line because your cost was more than your worth. And the libs attacked the trickle down economy because it opened up the possibilities for economic gains. It made supply and demand a reality. And with it come the supply and demand of employable required people. Unfortunately, so many are not employable because they have no skills other than low level computer and sitting in the basement at mom’s eating cheetos. Not much call for that.

“The USA was self sufficient in everything up the 1950’s.”

I think you may be missing something with this statement. The US doesn’t desire to be self sufficient. We are not equal to most of the rest of the world, we are stronger. But we can’t just throw money at them so they can buy food and not go next door and start a war to get some. There’s too much power out there and too many vultures ready to kindle the fire like China, Russia, Pakistan, Germany.....long list.

Petroleum is a perfect example. Our actual reserves are in two places, one is buried along the American Gulf Coast and contains 700M barrels. But that is tiny compared to the oil we have in Alaska and the Rocky Mountains, untapped. We don’t need to buy oil from anyone as we are the largest exporter of petroleum products in the world without our ground based supply just from our sources right now.

The US is also the largest of exporter of food in the world more than doubling the amount from second place Germany and is the second most dollar value exporter in the world behind China. But China is running at a 20.1% loss as we speak and won;t be able to maintain that number. And a majority of their exports are non-staples like high tech. Can’t eat it.

I hope this helps you understand that world trade is not all dollars and cents, but also is a commodity to keep from having a catastrophy because one country couldn’t pay their bill and had to take from next door. Especially when the reality has been surfacing that a lot of these little countries have got some serious firepower and too many countries with even more would exuberantly pile on.

Says who? The Chinese? The EU? Korea? Japan? All practice obscene mercantilism against the USA. LOL. I guess you missed the whole Trump thing.

If you not for stopping this the you are simply a traitor.

Exporting food and importing durable goods is what the revolutionary war was fought to stop. You would have been hung as a Tory in 1776.

It fascinates me that both you and central_va referred to me as a traitor. Both of you obviously didn’t get the objective of my post or are not seeing the big picture.

There are many ways to keep the peace. One way is diplomacy where all work together, one is war where no one works together, and one is control of them financially and/or naturally where one is dominant.

I initially talked about the petroleum trading. We export more petroleum than anyone in the world. We are also the largest importer in the world. Ever wonder why? Because it’s good business. Some have said the war in the middle east was for the oil. If that’s the case, why do we only import 2% of our oil from there and our three biggest importers to us are Canada, Mexico, and Venezuela, in that order? We buy 2% of our oil to follow the oil for food program for Iraq developed by the UN and that has leaked over into our trade work with others in the middle east. We have plenty of oil, but it’s good business for them to sell theirs to us so they can feed themselves and give us deals on some of our other imports we get from them. It’s just business.

Why do stores say if you buy 1, you get the other at half price or even free? It’s good business as they can sell you other things when you come into the store some at cut prices others at probably too high. But everyone eats and does not have to go looking for food in the next country. It stops wars. Ones we can stay out of. We don’t intimidate anymore. We have to use other means. Trade is one of them. And sanctions are part of them for the domination that might not lead to the war we don’t want.
