Problem is, we are now looking at another bubble with the rental market.

Rent is soaring across the country now. Investors are sinking all this money into building “luxury apartment” complexes so they can charge even more.

The area I live, the average rent is at least 33% higher than the average mortgage. The rates keep going up and up. And well outpacing the increase in salaries.

Another recession and this rental market is going to burst.

What is she going to do about the racial achievement gap or the racial motivation gap? If people have less money it’s generally because they don’t make good life decisions about things like money management, lifestyle, balance between work and leisure time, career (hint dropping out welfare babies to get a government check isn’t a good career choice), etc.

Blacks have more jobs than ever. They CAN buy homes on their own.

Been there, done that.

Sub-prime crisis started in late 90’s with Clinton finally agreeing to the same scam from a North Carolina community activist type. Gov’t subsidized mtg loans to the disadvantaged that were red-lined with poor credit scores.

HUD Secretary Andrew Cuomo lit the fuse.

Kamala Harris announces $100B plan for black homeownership, tackling racial wealth gap...it's always somebody else's responsibility - the solution won't come from others' $100B - it'll come from blacks as a group staying in school longer, curbing their tendency to engage in criminal behavior, and especially reducing their rate of unwed pregnancies to at most fifty percent.....

Why not make it simple to administer - just build billion dollar homes for 100 black families and call it a day. Makes as much sense as anything Karbala proposes.

Thank you for referencing that article SJackson. Please note that the following critique is directed at the FN article and not at you.

Patriots are reminded that the states have never expressly constitutionally given the corrupt, post-17th Amendment ratification feds the specific power to tax and spend for INTRAstate housing purposes, or to deal with wealth inequality.

In fact, Justice Brandeis had indicated that it was up to each state to use its 10th Amendment (10A)-protected state powers to conduct its own socioeconomic experiments, depending on what the legal majority citizen voters of a given state want.

"It is one of the happy incidents of the federal system that a single courageous State may, if its citizens choose [emphasis added], serve as a laboratory; and try novel social and economic experiments without risk to the rest of the country.” — Justice Brandeis, Laboratories of democracy.

Note that constitutional limits on states as laboratories of democracy is that states cannot establish privileged / protected classes or abridge constitutionally enumerated rights, and must maintain a constitutionally guaranteed republican form of government.

Also note that the only power that the states have expressly constitutionally given the feds to deal with race-based issues is limited to voting rights problems evidenced by the 15th Amendment.

15th Amendment:

"Section 1: The right of citizens of the United States to vote shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or by any State on account of race, color, or previous condition of servitude.

Section 2: The Congress shall have power to enforce this article by appropriate legislation [emphasis added].”

So while Sen. Harris’s heart is arguably in the right place, she needs to get out of the federal government and get elected to government of a state whose citizens would be willing to experiment with her ideas.

Remember in November 2020!

MAGA! Now KAG!

No.

Kamala can’t even legally run for president.
