I think the same NY federal prosecutors wanted to put Manafort into solitary confinement on Riker’s Island.

And he wasn’t charged with pimping children for sex.

Boies is a talented lawyer, but he is also such a dirtbag.

He was on Al Gore’s side in 2000. More recently, he worked with Harvey Weinstein. And, to get a feel for his tactics, I’d suggest watching the documentary about Elizabeth Holmes (of the Theranos fraud) on HBO, “The Inventor.”

Lets see how this one ends. I see lots of smoke coming with a lot of political firemen coming to his rescue. Who’s judge appointee will rule? The accused is not a Republican, therefor any accusation against him is a lie. No?? s/

There’s no mention of “Orgy Island” in the indictment. The charges are from 2002-2005 and are quite limited in the number of victims.

Thanks. I doubt anyone knows as much about this case as Bradley Edwards. He has interviewed more people and seen more evidence than probably anyone. He certainly doesn’t believe Trump did anything wrong.

“This is an important first step. Hopefully, prosecutors will focus on some of his [Epstein’s] co-conspirators going forward,” Boies told Fox News.

Boies’ mission is to protect Clinton and get some sort of accusation against Trump in the news. The chance that the Epstein case has been reborn for honest reasons is about 1 in a trillion.

Seriously? In return for what? That seems more than dishonest pay to play, maybe more like criminal.

Whoever gave him that sweetheart deal should be investigated closely!!

Oh wait, he’s a Trump Cabinet official. Never mind.

Nonsense. He’ll be joining Manafort in solitary before long.

Boies is a Democrat party hack lawyer. You can bet POTUS is the ultimate target here.

Quite possible.

However, as noted in postings today, Bradley Edwards, the lawyer for some of the mistreated women, said that Trump was the only forthcoming person he spoke with, and was quite helpful. In fact, he was so helpful that Edwards saw no need to have him do a formal deposition.

It’s going to be hard to smear Trump if the defendants’ lawyer is describing him as one of the few stand-up associates of Epstein’s. Also, there was an interview of Trump in 2015 where Epstein’s name came up, and Trump commented that Epstein likely had problems that would bother him going forward. Not the sort of comment you’d expect from a co-conspirator. But Boies will try.

The FBI just gave an update on this case. It was live on One American News Network. The first thing out of their mouths was “don’t ask any questions about anyone associated with Mr. Epstein”, which translated is: “don’t ask anything about Bill Clinton”.

Having too much money is a curse. You are beset by greed lust envy and all the deadly sins.

I’ve seen it many many times

Being poor sucks too. But you are closer to G*d. There is no doubt

The things of this world get between us and Him

Only if you are inclined. Those who cling to God and are rich can do a lot of good. There are good and generous people who use their riches to help, those are the lucky ones.

Beware the self-righteousness of some in poverty who are where they are by way of poor decisions, looking for anyone who didn't make similarly poor decisions to blame as the villain in their own lives.

Fox is reporting only TWO COUNTS!?!?!? WTF?

It is common to charge just a few of the counts of criminal conduct in order to get the suspect in front of a judge and into custody. There will be many superseding. The initial indictment is just to get the prosecution ball rolling.
