“A nice country house, a few good trees, maybe a hill, a stream nearby, lots of birds, a clear view of the open sky.. then they can have their stupid apocalyptic wars.. what would I care..”

Got all that and more, well the country house is a doublewide but it’s 1850 square feet, plenty of room for us two old folks, eight acres with frontage on a small river, too many trees, blueberries, blackberries, azaleas, camelias, hydrangeas, crepe myrtle, scuppernong vines, royal ferns, etc. I’m just beginning to realize how unique this place is. Nearly everyone who sees it drools over it.

Seems like heaven. People like us are so unplugged, we have to plug back in every once in awhile so the herd doesn’t get too suspicious.

All the Democrats running for president will have promised another couple of trillion dollars’ worth of socialist spending or gone on virtue-signaling tweet-storms that make their last ones seem quaint....

Right on there: witness Harris and Warren yesterday with their quasi-reparations plans.

It’s been a week since I checked by Twitter mentions or posted to Facebook and I don’t feel like I missed a thing.

Having never tweeted nor visited facebook, I don't feel like I missed a thing.

My phone is a flip phone for which I pay $ 100 a year, and rarely use it.

Most of my info comes from, Liberty Daily, FR, Breitbart, Newsbusters and some FNC.

Every once in a while, I will hurt myself and turn on cnn or msnbc or regular over the air channels. Not often and not for a long period of time.

I don't feel the need to get immersed in any more online chit chat because FR has the best posters anywhere on the planet.

Yay, another one escapes the city! Welcome, remember it is more work not less owning land and being a good steward. We currently live on 80 acres of timber land. We harvested 25 acres three years ago, replanted 8500 new baby Douglas Fir trees, trying to keep them growing in this west coast drought we are experiencing.

I’m in the middle of doing that. FR right now is my transition from Facebook, Instagram and Twitter, the a little gravy on my cold turkey. When I get the urge to click on something while working at my desk I hit FR, look around a bit and go back to what I was doing.

As I recall, my parents moving into the country was very hard on me when it came time to getting a job. My mom would have to pack up all the siblings to take me back and forth from the Greyhound stop. Finding a neighbor that was headed in the direction I had to go — eventually helped. I also recall the added cost of gas my dad had to spend, the wear and tear on his car, and I don’t forget how tired he would be when he finally got home from his long day.
If my parents had known what these country kids did when they would have a party, well if they had known I don’t guess I would have been ‘let out’.
Just sayin ...

My younger sister watches crimes shows and reads all the bad news. She is angry all the time. I told her to watch comedies and read about the good things out there. The good outweigh the bad by a wide margin. The news people will concentrate on the bad.

If you marinate yourself in the bad things then you will be angry and depressed.

I use my cell phone to play my music files when driving. Much better then what is available from the radio stations.
