There are two major ways where that statement from the so-called scholars is an intellectual lie.
1. Illegal aliens do not have a “civil right” to illegally enter a country because they chose to. The Jews rounded up in the Holocaust were legal citizens or legal residents of the nations from which they were rounded up, or legal citizens or residents of the nations they fled from before being rounded up in the nations they had fled to. There is zero “civil rights” comparison between the Jews rounded up in the Holocaust and illegal aliens.
2. The Holocaust primarily singled out a single ethnic group as its essential victims - the Jews. U.S. laws against illegal aliens crossing the U.S. border are not executed with discrimination - enforced against only some and not others. Again the “civil rights” comparison by the scholars is false.
