The story been given the cover of a major magazine. Carroll subsequently has been given substantial air time, numerous interviews and an enormous amount of promotion on all the major networks.
The complaint, by CJR and Media Matters about not enough coverage is because Carroll’s story did not make the front page of Saturday’s New York Times, Wall Street Journal, LA Times, or Chicago Tribune. The complaint is that The Washington Post did put it on the front page, but did not lead with it.
MSNBC’s Joy Reid said: “In any other universe, in any other presidency, in any other news cycle… [Carroll’s allegations] would have been the lead story all week long.”
They want no actual coverage of the story, no examination of the many inconsistencies and the almost certainty that the story is false.
They just want the allegations repeated over and over again with the hope that it will destroy President Trump.

She wrote a book about 20+ ‘Hideous Men’ who have mistreated her. 20+? At what point does her own personal judgement kick in? At what point is she more responsible than a helpless damsel in distress, tied up on the railroad track?
These people are reprehensible. I’m choosing that word because this is a family-friendly website.
When this came out yesterday, I read a column written by her in “The Cut” (whatever that is). It contained a long excerpt from her book, and boy was that illuminating. Long story short: She never met a man in her life, from her 8-year old friend at summer camp to any and all of her later boyfriends, who didn’t allegedly abuse and assault her. She literally hates every man she ever met, and believes that every one of them did something horrible to her.
Funny thing is, she didn’t include this latest accusation against Trump in the book. Wouldn’t you think if it really happened that one in particular would have merited a mention? Instead, she just suddenly thinks to mention it the other day, after 25 years.
Not buying it.
I saw her interview on CNN.
The woman is drunk or on something and you could tell she was making it up.
She didn’t go after PDJT, so much as she kept blaming society.
Was this accuser silent during the 2016 campaign? If so, has she offered an explanation for that?
Her account is graphic and detailed; . . . and echoes what Trump told Billy Bush, in the Access Hollywood tape, about grabbing women “by the pussy.”
My, my and it was concocted several years after the Access Hollywood tape was released. Indeed, there's an excellent chance she created it by modeling her libel to parallel that very tape.
I read that she has a long history of claiming to have been sexually assaulted. If this was actually true, you would think that she would have come out in 2016. Why wait until 2019, oh that’s right, she’s promoting her book
