Watched the Discovery Channel’s new program “Guardians of the Glades” last night. Dusty Crum is a snake hunter. First saw him on “Swamp People.” This was the first episode of the show, and they were out hunting female pythons...not just capturing them, but killing them so they can’t reproduce.

They’re actually called Royal Pythons because of Cleopatra’s penchant for wearing them as “jewelry”.
“Ball Python” is from their courageous habit of literally balling up with their head tucked under themselves and just sitting there as a self defense mechanism.
The color combinations of BP morphs seems to be limitless and they are quite beautiful.
Sort of like God’s mega box of reptile crayons.
ALL of these incredible colors came from boring brown and black snakes captured in their home country.

If Mendel had had these guys, we wouldn’t get so excited about mutant peas.

Snake Slithers Out of Toilet, Bites South Florida Man Too bad 0bama or Pete Buttplug weren't there to suck out any potential venom.
