I have seen this in my family. My oldest brother lived with mom for most of his life. Now his is a 63 year old adolescent with no gullible souls to take care of him. Mom did him no favors by letting him stay.

My daughter is nine and I teach that her life here is temporary. Her real big life is out there in the world. She has an American passport.
What did you put down as collateral? Or did Mommy and Daddy cosign?

She was probably "baffled" by your apparent assumption that her Fortune-500 company should hire and pay big bucks for people who majored in "Lesbian Dance" or "Diversity Studies."

This article is about males in particular, and for white men in particular, they’ve been shoved to the “back of the bus” for decades now. They don’t wreck social institutions; they’ve been told they have no role at all - so why should they care if your local Elks, Boy Scouts, or churches close? They are attacked by the same people intent on destroying Western Civilization, and are merely witnesses to it. They see what has happened to previous generations, and understand all too clearly what would condemn them to a life of economic misery: Marriage/family, and mortgages (with accompanying property taxes); who can blame them for opting out of both?
Maybe they’re skeptical of the military because they’d have unqualified tokens as their officers, or have some trannies blood sprayed all over them if they had to engage in combat...
The economic situation faced by young people today - especially marginalized males - is that they have little chance of an “upper middle class” lifestyle. More than when we were younger (though it was just starting out), companies are willing to move jobs overseas once American workers expect “upper middle class” salaries - and if the jobs can’t be moved, those companies have the political pull to import masses of white-collar foreigners to fill those jobs here in the US.
What we’re seeing is the situation that has unfolded in Western Europe for decades; economic instability has led to young people simply avoiding families and the corresponding responsibilities of providing for them. We’re also seeing the same long-term consequence: Mass immigration to counter dwindling populations.

Good point, but just to clarify: Most of the world is still led by men; the dying West is hostile towards them. In the majority of the world, where populations are still growing, men often still have traditional roles - and responsibilities. Their offspring are replacing Western populations every second of the day...

My brother wanted to join the Marines, but wasn't very good with tests. I bought him some study guides. He passed.
If he's serious about joining and has a recruiter worth a damn, they may have kids already in the DEP (Delayed Entry Program) who have passed and can help him study. The recruiter can also have someone from the DEP PT with your nephew. It will help both get in shape.
I wasn't able to work with my brother (we didn't live anywhere near each other; I was stationed in Lejeune at the time) before he went. He needed to cut about 45lbs and pass the ASVAB in order to sign for the Marines. I called the recruiter and told him what was up. It only took about 2 1/2 months before little brother was ready for MEPs, and another month he was in PI.

There is a lack of determination among millenial men, that’s true. They are also increasingly emasculated. But there are reasons for this. The Left absolutely wants this. They don’t want white male Millenials in particular to be successful or satisfied.
