One of the best ADVANTAGES of flyIng into a military airport is the precision approach RADAR option where the controller on the ground actually talks you down with precision direction and speed and decent rate commands based. If the pilot requested this service any deviation of direction, ground speed rate and angle of decent outside of acceptable tolerance would dictate a missed approach.
I wonder if this service was offered? Available? Requested by pilot?
