Their action was clearly a litmus test of our resolve and I’m sure additional penetration tests will be forthcoming if a firm response isn’t provided in kind. Closing the border would send a clear message, politically, to Mexico that we are willing to escalate our responses to any further attempts.

There is no one, no one watching our backs. For whatever reason, not even POTUS Trump is making good on his promises. There are more of the enemy swarming across our borders than ever before. More even than under jorge busho's dictatorial rule.

That one of the supposed Mexican soldiers took one sidearm from an American and put it in the American vehicle is curious, as if the Mexicans knew exactly who they encountered, where they were encountered, and were simply making a statement....

This is a perspective I had overlooked, and it is quite prescient: Remember how the Mexican authorities were overly-eager to prosecute Sgt. Andrew Tahmooressi for accidentally taking a firearm into Mexico?

Either the ‘Mexican soldiers’ knew they were in the U.S., or they were not truly ‘Mexican soldiers’.

After all, CBP surveillance has captured video of armed men dressed in tactical gear escorting illegal aliens over the border.

Regardless, our military needs to change its engagement protocol ... at the very least, have Air Cavalry on the standby at all times.

And everybody in the upper levels of government, including the White House, is aware of this. Yet, again, NOBODY is addressing that issue.

Maybe President Trump wins a second term. Maybe he wins by a landslide. Maybe he loses. IF he loses, it will be because he has taken no definitive steps to definitively secure our borders AND remove foreigners from our country. And if he doesn't do so, sadly, there is no one who will.

They should have taken the Mexican soldiers into custody. Taken their names, etc., and put them on a “persona non grata” list and then turned them over to the Mexicans at the furthest point of entry possible.

I just don’t understand why Trump even bothered to make empty threats at all since nothings changed and things have gotten worse. Hope he isn’t using this JUST to get re-elected.

Maybe Trump ran for POTUS because a) he had always wanted that Power, b) and he ran under the fix-the-immigration issue because that was what would make him a special candidate.

But now that he's in, he wants what every president wants. He wants what every administration wants more than anything: a second term.

Maybe he campaigned as a businessman but has been transformed into a politician.

Don't get me wrong. I like the other things he's done. Trade. Business. But he sure got our hopes up about the border, didn't he? Mebbe he's pulling another Jorge Busho?

Obviously the destruction of the USA as founded is the goal. The left is very close to accomplishing this and the border is the main issue. If they can overwhelm us with third worlders who have no concept of a “rule of law for everyone” they will replace it with a kleptocracy of elites.
