Very few if any “Republicans” would have had the guts to do that. That is why the Democrats have tromped on them forever.
But the Democrats have gotten used to that, and now that they are faced with a fighter who doesn’t back down (and run to the press spouting apologies) they don’t have a clue how to respond.

So the best real answer is that she needs to loose her majority next year, because I believe that if she does, she will step down as a Representative and turn her seat over to a younger piece of SF $hit!
