Can you really blame them? We’ve messed with them every chance we’ve had. Stuck ‘em with Yeltsin after the fall of the USSR, for example.

the problem was that the communists were Russian. This isn’t a nation of goat humping camel jockeys with a 7th century mentality; chess is a spectator sport there.
Same thing I say about some American liberals (AOC)- as Sun Tzu said -*NEVER* underestimate your opponent. Putin is like von Manstein, as sharp an enemy as we’ve ever encountered.
May I suggest, it would be better to start at the foot of the mountain and watch the avalanche as those lower level associates strike plea deal after plea deal. It would be priceless to see the media trying dance their way around a stampede of lower, mid-level and even some close associates trying to capitalize on short term plea deal opportunities that will not be available after the evidence starts filling in the gaps and witnesses are no longer, needed.

With all the coordination between the progressives the DNC and the media, we need to know how far down the conspiracy goes. Who is funding it? Who is coordinating it? What is their ultimate goal?
