Irish Bob's fund raising during the Senate race was not for Irish Bob, but against Ted Cruz. Ted Cruz is not liked in liberal circles and it would have been their trophy to have knocked him out. That fund raising was an attempt to take out Cruz, and not an expression of love for O'Rourke.
