Athletic directors and coaches too the money.
Thanks for reminding people. Also peeps in my family with no kids asked me what does college cost. They had no idea. This was a few years ago and when I old them 50k plus a year for private college they were in shock.
And you can bet he’s not the only “fixer” out there.
using dishonesty to gain the unearned and undeserved is a characteristic of the leftard worldview
I saw an article that said it had been going on for decades.
I thought singer been doing it since 2011.
Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, part of Californias lesser Cal State system (not UC), turned away over 10,000 CA applicants last year with 4.0 and higher GPAs.
I went to school in the 80’s but I have 2 children in college now and 2 on deck. There is always a college one can get in if one wants to go. It still doesn’t mean cheating and bribing are acceptable.
What are you teaching your children? Do you want to go to a doctor who cheated on his SAT’s? Drive on a bridge designed by an engineer whose parents paid a bribe and faked an athletic profile? Ethics is the most important thing life. Would you put your money in an unethical bank? Grades, intelligence are important but without a sole and character they are meaningless.
No what tell me kids? Their competition is not sitting in the desk next to them in school or applying to the same college.
Their competition is in Asia studying 16 hours a day, working 60 hours a week making 1/3 your salary.
Step it up.
He’s wrong about that. College students still receive “F” grades. Usually, when they know they’re going to fail, they’ll drop or withdraw from a class. There are still students with an occasional “F” on their transcripts.
Unless he’s talking about certain colleges - maybe the Ivies? I don’t know. But the other colleges will fail you.
Ivies don’t fail anymore.
No what tell me kids?
Just axin'.
No, I totally agree with you. I’m just pointing out that it was much, much easier to get into UC or Cal State 30 years ago.
Of course cheating and bribing are unacceptable.
I would like to know if the kids who were involved in the scam are still attending the schools. They should be removed if they are that should be the punishment.
By that logic, all the Asians discriminated against can sue for big bucks, too.
bump!
Who do you think blew the whistle this scam????
The Asians have been discriminated against for decades. They need perfect scores to get into places likes Harvard and Stanford. In October they sued in court over this very issue. And now this admission scam is exposed.
Coincidence? I think not.
