I agree.
“What in the transcript makes you say that?”
Only that the series of releases is prompted under a legal action of a Congressman who is doing so under his authority.
It’s not to suggest the DOJ Deep State is throwing in the towel; they won’t.
But does it matter when the grounds shift and others act?
I’m nowhere near triple digits in the transcript but I take your analysis it’s the UK being redacted. Makes sense.
I just scrolled without reading, looking for redactions ;-)
There is a lengthy one on p261, in a line of questioning involving “confidential informant” (who I think is Steele), and if Strzok answers that, he will disclose an international relationship.
FBI lawyer is telling the House Committee that Strzok won’t answer any questions abut FBI investigation of Trump campaign - that is a “specific investigation,” and protected by the FBI.
Another card drops:
“Top Mueller Prosecutor Weissmann Steps Down In Latest Sign Probe Ending”
Glad to see him go, but some of the other comments in the write-up extolling his virtues as a prosecutor are laughable.
Word/rumor has it that Mueller has been a “no show” for virtually a year & Weissmann has been the one REALLY running the Special Counsel show so if he’s going, that’s good. The persecution of Manafort is certainly Weissman’s style. Also, it’s being reported that Barr would not agree to further persecution of Flynn, which Weissmann wanted to do, so that’s the true reason he’s leaving. Rumors abound.
