Or another way to put it, statistics can be used to prove any point. Long and short of it, people who have murdered cops and multiple people will be commuted to life without parole (which means a lot of years with a parole at the end.)
Of course, Newsom promised that the people would have their voice heard in this and their decision would be what he stuck with. Guess if you don't ask, you get to tell people what their opinion is.
Next, he’ll give them the right to vote - from prison.
I thought it was ironic that when I shipped out for Basic Training my ex-boss shipped out for prison for murder. So the government spent $50k/year for me to be a soldier and a little less than $50k/year for him to sit in prison.
“...Of course, Newsom promised that the people would have their voice heard in this and their decision would be what he stuck with. Guess if you don’t ask, you get to tell people what their opinion is....”
Typical California totalitarian liberalism at work. Another major “in your face Trump” and the cementing of liberal absolute power in the state. Total rejection of the will of the voters. And no accountability.
If you leave video of you raping, torturing and murdering people lying around for the authorities to find, do it in Northern Mexifornia.
Reprieves? What does that mean— releasing convicted murderers to freedom? No freaking way— so now they must still be housed, and commuted to Life w/out parole?
Kalifornia is lost.Kalifornia has sunk to a level of depravity from which it cannot...and will not...escape.
Seems like a dictator move; disregard the ‘will of the people’ and decide to do what you want instead.
I wonder if an ‘executive order’ is even allowed in that state.
Start the recall....!
Man this guy wants to go right to a recall election awesome.
Sign me up!
Newsom is a menace to this country. I have never seen such evil on a stick. He needs to reside on that stick.
These people think that the maximum penalty for any crime should be 14 years. When they can, they will let these murderers back out on the street.
So now there's no death penalty for killing the Governor of California>
