These are not "disciplines". These are fake subjects designed to raise minority acceptance to college. The fake degrees they produce are useless outside of the university. They produce revenue for the school, which allows the school to hire its otherwise useless grads as professors and administrators, resulting in higher tuition for those actually seeking an education. So it's basically a money laundering scheme, taking taxpayer dollars and enriching rats with them.
