When the United States is turned into the 21st Latin American country because Congress no longer functions, you will still have your Constitution--insomuch that you can print it out and clutch it as the foreign hordes come for your savings account with the help of the Congress and Presidency they'll be electing.
Notice they say this only requires 51 votes. That means the republican congress could have easily voted down any of Obamas emergency declarations forcing him to veto those bills. But they never did. Its almost like they were on his side and not ours.

The legalized prostitution thing must be the key, since you have to get the prostitutes from somewhere, and who says they have to be willing or adult. So that means human trafficking’s an OK business, and it’d be ruined by that big nasty wall.
I don’t care for the emergency declaration either. Use non-emergency funds to build what can be built, then put 50,000 troops on the border. Make it an issue for the next election. And hold Congress’ feet to the fire on every other Constitutional issue...like the House’s gun control bill. This is a potential massive win for us

One by one, the GOP senators will cross over to thwart the wall, and they will all find high-minded “constitutional” reasons for doing it, never minding the simple fact if we do not build the wall, we will lose our constitution. Our Republic is gone, our constitution is gone, and Rand will do his part to end it, all in the name of “preserving” the constitution and the Republic. He is a fool, and thinks we are too!
You would think costs to this country approaching $150 billion annually from an invasion of illegals would be grounds for emergency in and of itself, not to mention all the other factors that go along with such as loss of life, etc. which are not factored in.

Dumb post. I can’t fault Rand for voting his conscience and what he believes is correct. For me, I support the emergency declaration, but understand the arguments of those who don’t. It’s not really a good situation. But I will never blindly follow anyone anywhere at anytime - not even Trump.

Sometimes I think the only way out of this crap without bloodshed is some sort of Czechoslovakian split up with both coasts....
The USA will split into at LEAST 3 parts if the borders are not protected and ALL immigration is not shut down for a while (min. 20-40 years) to allow all the immigrant here to ASSIMILATE while we deport all of the ILLEGAL TRESPASSERS!

Even LEGAL Immigrants should have to wait several years if not more after they become citizens BEFORE they can receive any sort of welfare.
Plus anyone harboring ILLEGAL ALIENS in their home should have all and any welfare payments/services stripped from them at a minimum of 10 years if not PERMANENTLY!

I have been in emergency situations, personally.
You cannot overthink something that is so very dangerous and has the danger of causing unspeakable harm, for the long term.
Some have no foresight.
