Lindsey Grahamnesty became the first ever person on Twitter whose nickname I have been forced to change because of his exemplary work on the Judiciary Committee.
Henceforth he is Lindsey Granite.
He has been stellar. Today the DemoKKKrats needed two people in the committee meeting for it to officially convene. Only one showed up. Granite said he wasn’t playing games and would start the proceedings with what they had, changing the rule.
Just like that another DemoKKKrat showed up. He pushed through Naomi Rao, and Trump will likely get three new Circuit Court judges confirmed next week, giving him more than Ronald Reagan at this point in his presidency -—and that with a one-month gubment shutdown!! Plus Trump has two USSC justices confirmed, while RR had only one (SD O’Connor) at this point).
I really loved hating the Ninth Circus.
The ones appointed by Repukes are all approved by Senators from Cali. This analysis is very far off the mark.

Bravo
Granite at CPAC promises “Judges, more judges, and still more judges!”

Are you kidding me. Its March. The year is 1/6 over already and thats before the Senates summer, fall and winter vacations. There are 170 federal judgeships vacant and ready to be filled. How many have Lindsay and Graham gotten confirmed? Next to none. They need to GET SERIOUS WITH JUDICIAL CONFIRMATION VOTES. Time is slipping away.

Promise them anything, but give them Arpege. We need more ACTUAL production and less unfulfilled promises. Talk is cheap!
I just don’t understand this line. Silly as hell.
So far, Trump is at a RECORD pace for judge confirmations. More than Reagan. And all this with a FULL MONTH of government shutdown.
Now, what more do you think Granite can do besides set records?
Maybe start by getting over a hundred LIFE TIME appointment vacancies filled with Trump appointees WHILE THE OPPORTUNITY EXISTS?
Setting records ain’t good enough! You need to be better than setting records!
Yep, solid argument there.
Sorry, good enough is not acceptable to me when it is critically URGENT that we do ALL WE CAN while we have an effective Senate majority.
Here is a list of current Federal Judgeship VACANCIES:

Here is a list of known short term future vacancies:

And here is a list of successful confirmations under the illustrious leadership of Senator Graham in this Congress. The good news is that, in this Congress, 100% of the judicial confirmation votes have resulted in successful confirmations. The bad news is....well...click the link and see the number of confirmations after two months of this Congress.

If we are satisfied with mediocrity, we will get mediocrity. IMHO we shouldnt have LOW EXPECTATIONS of our Republican Senate. We should never defend MEDIOCRITY!
It’s not “good enough.” It’s a record. It’s better than anyone in history. Chill.
Power does a job on the ego tho'.
Check the 3rd link in post #32 above. Thats the official government record of Judicial Confirmations since Graham became Chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee. Its been TWO MONTHS. Are you impressed? Is that a record? For anyone who doesnt want to click the link, its a grand total of ONE CONFIRMATION.
Amen to that...
Last exchange here, then you’re talking to wind.
One full month of that the government wasn’t even in operation.
The Senate was in session. Life went on; the sun rose and set.
