Nothing the left does is “nutty”. Everything the left does is deceitful. The leaders of the communist revolutionary movement (aka the democrat party) are trying to keep the coalition of victims intact for 2020. Trump has made substantial inroads into black democrat support. The democrats are merely promising blacks money to stay on the plantation. For many victims, this will be enough to ensure loyalty. There is nothing nutty about this. The democrat constituency of victim groups is gradually becoming the majority in this country. They drool over these promises of free stuff and vote accordingly. Too bad they are too stupid to realize they are like the rats following the piece of cheese into the trap only to have the gate shut behind them. After they eat the cheese, they will starve to death. How about reparations FROM black Americans— for the costs imposed on the rest of us by their crime, welfare, illegitimate kids, spendthrift finances, and false allegations of racism?
This issue always rolls around when the Democrats feel like they are starting to lose the black vote. Trump is wzy too popular with blacks.
My argument on reparations which drives people nuts is where are the reparations for the slaveholders who basically endured wholesale asset forfeiture when the slaves were freed. A slave in 1850-1860 cost $1200-$1500. So a plantation might have 100 slaves. At todays value of the dollar thats about $130,000 each. Obviously I am just making a point here not promoting or defending slavery in any way.
