Certainly not as well informed as some of the other folks on here about federal law and the Constitutional powers, etc. My question(s):
Doesn’t the Left, in all its parts, routinely use the “Commerce Clause” to force states to bend to the will of the federal government?
Is that not what they did and argued with obamacare to force states to implement it?
Isn’t that their ‘go to’ when all else fails, Federal law/directives/EOs/etc supercede everything else, until told otherwise?
The 16 states that have sued Trump have no standing on border matters.
I would say one thing about this and the whole matter. If the border states were suing, because they didn’t want excavators and bulldozers all over the place(BS reason) but I can kind of get it. But, when you have the Dem AGs and Governors in the Northeast in the lawsuit, to me, that changes the game. Nothing but manipulative scum.
And to think that Maine isn’t tired of the mess created by all the Somalians that have been settled there, under the refugee program. Amazing that you take a set of people from one of the hottest places on the planet and settle them in one of the coldest.
Didn’t Arizona’s case already establish in 2011 that the Executive Branch has exclusive authority to establish and enforce border laws?
How to stop the 16-state lawsuit?
That’s easy.
Nuke the capitals of all 16.
Thanks for that. So the President can offer as his defense that Obama did exactly the same thing?
I am guessing though not televised the case is open to the public and we will all see a transcript of the defense submission and the retort from the court?
“I just tried the link of your post to LinkedIn, and it doesnt work. I wonder if the bad link is because the post has been removed from their website or if the link was just typed wrong here.”
FYI: Here is the LinkIn link again:

Now, you probably need to have LinkedIn open in your browser for it to work. Have you a LinkedIn ID?
I tried the old posted link, and the new posted link, and both worked for me.

I read in todays local Gannett newsrag that New Jersey is among the states filing suit against a border wall. My question: How does NJ have standing to sue against something that does not affect us? Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, California maybe, but Jersey? Gimme a break!
Same stater, FRiend.
NJ is interested because they get Fed $$ in some way from this......sanctuary state bologna. If we start sending the beaners home, the Fed $$ dries up.
Neither does Michigan. Stupid leftists.

I don’t remember if it was 2011, but YES! EXACTLY SO!
BUT, now that President Trump is in power, the so-called “Court” may REVERSE its ruling! Because they are all LIBTARDS.
How the heck does HAWAII have standing to sue over this?
I only count 11 states with a close, direct border with Canada.
I’m pretty sure Michigan is separated by water [of varying widths] from Canaduh [spelling because current Premier].
Michigan’s top has water, but it’s not 100% lakes. A bunch of regular channels too. But even ignoring that, I’m pretty sure the Detroit area is right on Toronto.
Detroit is North of Windsor, Ontario, separated by the Detroit River.
Right, so that’s a border state. If river separation didn’t count, then Texas isn’t a border state either!
