I work in distribution warehouses across the country. Amazon is my favorite to work in as they are clean, well illuminated and have air conditioning and heating systems set for comfort, not energy savings.
They treat their employees better than most.
Cortez just screwed 25,000 people out of great jobs.
We used to have lots of posts about Sheila Jackson Lee, but AOC is hotter and more fun.

The news here (I’m right next to NYC) has basically blacked out this story quickly; too many of the interviews turned out to be residents and business owners upset about losing the HQ2 (far outweighing the small number of cheering, self-congratulating activists). The NY governor had recently started a “New York is open for business” campaign to deal with the ongoing job (and worker) losses, and these idiots just ensured there will be no recovery whatsoever.
This had been a leading story in this area for months, and the conclusion has been swept under the carpet; nobody believed Amazon would just back out - and now the accusations are flying.

The problem isn’t the creation of threads about AOC, the problem is the MSM creating news about her. By creating, I mean exactly that. She is over emphasized as though she’s the second coming.
I do not like the constant attention of her either, but the threads point out her weapons grade stupidity and how dangerous she is.
Yikes! That’s two things she’s right about. (The first having been to oppose such massive crony capitalism.) Amazon has a horrible record on treatment of employees—from their distribution centers to their retail driver routes. No “tour” is going to tell the actual story.

A Freeper from the NYC area told me folks around that area consider wage jobs as slave labor, it wouldn’t have flown.
Six figure management jobs are hardly slave labor.
Amazon will give the bartender a tour just like the sanitized tour Cuban government officials give foreign diplomats and tourists.

A lot of those people would have been transfers—and they will just transfer elsewhere.
Unless of course Amazon and the NY pols can patch things up.
Doesn’t mean one company should be gifted with billions in tax breaks — at any level of government.
