Cuckservatives. Why don’t we get rid of that label? It’s for losers. The Republicans were much more effective when they were Radical.

RE: Hannity did not and DOES NOT YET know what all is in it.

Well, don’t we know that a mere $1.3 Billion ( about 55 miles ) was allocated for the barrier?

The funding is exactly 25% of what he asked for . . .

I suppose he could take it with the express understanding that the military will build the other 75% as a national emergency measure.

RE: the military will build the other 75% as a national emergency measure.

The military as a $700 Billion budget.

$5.7B - $1.3B = $4.4 Billion.

$4.4B/$700B = 0.6%

Yes, that’a mere 0.6% of the military budget to secure our Southern border !!

The Federal government waste much more than that doing other things they should not even bother doing.

They’re going to quibble with that?

Congress tried to cut Teddy Roosevelt off at the knees when he wanted to send a goodly part of the navy on a round the world cruise as a message to anyone who might want to mess with us.

Congress refused to allocate the funds, so TR sent the navy anyway. There was enough oil in inventory to get them just a little past the Philippines, so TR sent them anyway. He then asked them to allocate the money to bring them home to their east coast ports.

They were livid, but guess what they did.

If there is two bil. for the Wall then DJT has got what he needed, which is not a particular amount of money but rather, the Social Democrats breaking principle and "supporting" the Wall. He already has access to the funds to build it and with Official Funding, he can keep building it way beyond the pittance allowed him by the SDs in the House and the SDs will be in the position of loudly trying to stop the wall they had already supported by voting money for. That will not play well for them in 2020.

Heck — it’s over a billion for the wall. That’s more than zero. Take it. Then have the military make up the difference and build the wall.

Funding for 55 miles???

The border is 1960 miles long.

55 miles== 2.8% of the entire wall.

Do any of us only put 2.8% of capacity of fuel into our vehicles?

Do we only pay 2.8% of our power bills?

Do we only eat 2.8% of a meal we prepare?

This is a flaming joke.

If Trump signs onto this it is a cave.

Anything less than half of the 5.7 asked for is a cave. Whatever happened to declaring an emergency or getting the military to do it???

They can make their ruling. Let them enforce it.

Probably. I think Trump has a fair chance of prevailing.

If Congress agrees to fund $1.3B this year that means they are OK with the idea of funding a wall. There is also past funding for the wall thus there is established precedence for Congress agreeing to build the wall. There are indeed differences between the WH and Congress on how much and how fast. However one can’t easily say Trump did something completely against Congress’ will. He just wanted it done faster.

“Will there not be a court challenge if trump did this?”

Meh, Trump is the Commander-In-Chief, not any civillian judge.

Let the judges moan and groan and we’ll see who the soldiers take orders from.
