You know very well I was NOT talking about Dennis Prager.
When I worked for a large mortgage banker back in the 80s, all of the managers were mandated to go to a company designated psychologist to explore, discover, study and understand our "inner" selves. Some sort of liberal BS someone in corporate human relations/personnel thought up so we could become better managers.
From the first visit, I refused to answer the psychologist's very personal and probing questions about my life or cooperate in her tests and role-playing scenarios. I thought it laughable and a waste of time. She did not appreciate my refusal and defiance and tried to tie them to some deep-seated "mommy" issues from my childhood. That was laughable since my mom and dad always were close and got along fine. IOW, this sour-puss of a woman didn't have a clue what she was babbling on about.
I've never been one who spends time dwelling on my "inner" self. I've always been confident in who I am and knew that I was who I was. Deal with it. No amount of psychobabble would change that. What I did learn was that working for a big corporation was not for me.
I wasn't fired for not going along but I left the company a short time later to start my own company because I knew their approach to personnel management was not for me.
Today, at 71 years old, my instincts have proven correct. I never went to a psychologist again and have had a successful career and family life and I'm very happy in retirement.
Who needs the psychobabble-ists when you know your own self?

I think that’s a valid and reasonable question.
Most “therapists” and “counselors” are female...and many are hyper-feminists or lesbians. The males that are in those “professions” often are soy boy LIB losers and/or homos. Good luck if you expose your children to these people.

Well and truly said. There are very good reasons why it is characterized as one of the “soft” sciences.
And this is one of the people who presume to tell men how to be.
