I guess this is winning with the only problem being future administrations have to keep in good relationship with Mexico. I have to wonder what Mexico got from this - or was it the threat of closing the border against their products?
This basically means half the battle is won. Catch them and they are now gone. The other half is catching them, which is best aided by not having them cross to begin with (the wall).

Yep - Trump is doing what many of us are too lazy to do - he keeps chipping away and taking it by the inch when necessary...it helps that he has some amount of leverage over Mexico - why the trade stuff had to happen first, which many seem to ignore when they complain he’s moving too slow on the border.
