Dunno what they mean by "people of color", but blacks make up 12.6% of the population and commit 37.5% of the violent crimes with whites committing 58% of the violent crimes - my math says the blacks are 4 times as likely to commit violent crimes as whites. And if they're 4X more likely to commit violent crimes the you would expect to see a greater proportion of them killed by police than their fraction of the population.
