I hate that you are correct, and yet I have to keep fighting.

In the heat of anger after 9-11, most of us including myself were hell bent on destroying the Taliban and Bin Laden. I was glued to the threads extolling the exploits of our special forces, Tora Bora, and all of that. Yet after wasting American life and treasure for seventeen years, I do not see our interests or security being enhanced. Past time to leave. I hate to think it, but maybe Slick Willy had the better strategy of lobbing cruise missles at baby milk factories.

Time to go boys and girls. It’s past due. The only thing they understand is annihilation. If no one is willing to show them that, then time to go.

This ^ Way past time to go. What genius came up with this plan. Like the Taliban will abide by any agreement. We are truly living in a Kakistocracy.

To be intellectually and morally honest, you better include me, maybe yourself, most FReepers, and the majority of conservatives deserving trial and conviction for enthusiasticly supporting invading Afghanistan and Iraq after 9-11 gov’t complicit terror events.

Whew, I dodged that bullet. I’ve said since 2003 that it was a bad idea and Iraq too. If we aren’t willing to go there, kill people, break shit and get out I don’t want to be there. Send the message and step back. They act bad again send the message again. Not willing to do that and think you can stroke them into liking you and becoming republic like, you have no business prosecuting a war. War is about punishment, not rainbows.

We shouldn’t still be there.

We shouldn’t trust the Taliban.
