When a text or alarm is sent out via a cell phone,the simultaneous delivery of the message to multiple users cannot be guaranteed with cell phone technology, where with pager technology, it can.
This means if you have a team of people assigned to a code team to restart people’s hearts, the physician who leads the team might be the last to show up, and by a measurably variable interval because the text didn’t reach the leader at the same time anyone else got it.
