Her parents loved in the Bronx until she was 5. And even then she was hardly "Alex from the block". They lived in the Parkchester Apts. which is like Trump Towers compared to the south Bronx. Originally a middle class housing project, they were converted into condos by the time her parents loved there, a rather pricey ones at that since the complex was landmarked because of it's prewar art deco architecture.
