Good news for Idaho ammunition sellers.
Are people really this clueless and crazy?
Oregon law would restrict ammo buys to just 20 rounds within 30-day period:
8 fully loaded mags per *year*..!
Pinging pinglist
In other news; Facing capacity restrictions in weaker common available calibers, everyone moves to the far more deadly 357 Magnum as a carry pistol.
Good news: At least we're moving out of that awkward stage.
I’d ban magazines with more than 5 staples.
Draconian.
Good, I love this! Not because I think the law is good I think it’s a horrible law and unconstitutional, however the crazier these fascist get with their anti-gun laws the quicker the country will turn on them.
How about a bill that would limit law makers to one law a year?
Ask the gun grabbers how many rounds is enough, and they’ll answer “zero.”
That would ban most revolvers, too, wouldn’t it?
bkmk
“Requires criminal background check before transfer of ammunition. Restricts ammunition receipt to 20 rounds within 30-day period.”
WTF ? A box of shotgun shell is 25!
So Oregon Concealed Pistol License holders get no breaks for pre-screening and must get a permit prior to any handgun or long gun purchase.
A revolver speed loader is illegal, if contains 6 rounds.
A standard M-1911-A1 magazine is illegal.
Many pump action center fire rifles are illegal
The limit on 20 rounds of ammunition in a 30-day period would require all 22LR ammo to have special Oregon packaging. It would pretty much insure that only handloaders can do target shooting or participate in sporting activities. Also note that most shotgun shells would require special “Oregon” packaging and that standard trap and skeet competition rules would likely have to be changed for those that do not handload.
Clearly written by folks who have no knowledge of firearms and don't care.
could I borrow your gun? :-/
All these draconian gun laws need to be tossed on the basis they infringe on the 2A which our Bill of Rights expressly forbids.
[[Oregon legislation would ban magazines with more than 5 rounds.]]
So society can’t read Guns and Ammo anymore?
I’m in trouble. I don’t have a weapon with less than six rounds.
Actually, I’m not in trouble, nor will I ever be with laws they write abridging my Second amendment rights.

My neighbors and I would ignore this law if it somehow passed. I don’t think it will, it’s a few years too early yet.
My neighbors are out shooting on their private ranges whenever the weather is decent.
I live in hill country. That’s right, I’m an Oregon hillbilly and redneck, and proud of it.
