Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s Day One pledge to tackle gun violence.

Please just stop and learn to use the English language and a little common sense!
I have been around a large amount of every kind of “gun” for just shy of 50 years. Not a single one of those guns was ever violent towards me or any other human being! Now plenty of various human beings on the other hand were violent towards me. Some were violent using a gun, others were violent using their fist. One even was violent using a wooden handle toilet brush! But each and every incident of this violence had one thing in common. It had to be done by a human being. Not a gun, a fist or a toilet brush! I can agree that we have a violence issue and we should certainly do something about it. But we will not. We will do stupid and silly things, like pass more gun laws and pat ourselves on the back for caring and meanwhile the violence will carry on!

The ‘RATs like to compare President Trump to Adolf Hitler. President Trump never tried to take away anyone’s gun. Only the ‘RATS and Adolf Hitler did that.

They act like you can buy guns online the way you buy stuff on Amazon.
if you order a gun it has to be sent to a licensed dealer and a background check run before you take possession.

Oh wait a minute I’m using facts, that’s not fair.

I have a concealed carry permit which allows me to buy a gun with no more than filling out a form. And the reason for that is the requirements for the carry permit are considerably more stringent than the background checks for gun purchase.

I notice when Democrats use the word “reasonable” they are being deliberately vague so they can be just the opposite.

[[Just another do-nothing vote that will never see the light of day in the Senate,]]

The point of it is to show that as soon as they regain the presidency, and senate, they will enact severe constitutionally illegal gun control

“House Democrats on Tuesday will introduce a bipartisan bill to expand background checks for gun purchases,”

Call it what it really is: Gun registration.

Yes they are trotting out their old bs to imply firearms are being legally bought online without a FFL dealer involved. As usual, ignorance is the Democrats’ best friend.

Don’t worry about the Dems being “reasonable”. The article says that the legislation EXCLUDES reasonable exceptions for family transfer, etc. Not sure if that was a journalistic error, or the truth slipping out.

Don’t hear anything about the real cause of the Florida shooting though.

Yeah, we’re going to limit your rights, but we’re going to do it in a reasonable manner.

We’re not going to tell you just exactly what reasonable is until it’s too late.

The republicans in the senate should promptly attach a requirement for background checks and ID requirements to vote and send it back to Pelosi.

Honest question here...

When its said “background checks for guns bought online and at gun shows”, aren’t background checks done on all on-line retail purchases?

In the State that I live in, if you purchase on-line from a retailer, they will ship the purchase to a local dealer where the buyer must complete a background check, pay a fee presumably to cover the cost of the background check and transfer.

This sounds like BS to me...

Note I included the word “retailer” here. Not asking about private party sales.

***...expand background checks for gun purchases,***

What’s the point? Giffords’ shooter filled out a Form 4473, had an NICS background check and it didn’t stop him, meanwhile California still has lots of mass shootings yet their vaunted gun laws, with waiting periods, have done NOTHING to curb it.

Had there been magazine limits, Giffords would still have been shot, another wounded, and Judge Roll murdered.
