Basically it was damned if you do damned if you don’t. We didn’t have any good options.

Critical minded FReepers who agreed with W to go in but noticed steady missteps in execution were commonly saying that we were handing Iran a huge swath of influence in Iraq. Was hard to get too much a word in edgewise though...

Trump’s approach is must more refreshing as a citizen, honest with our allies and at the end of the day much more sustainable resource wise.
