It's a living.
Not entirely accurate. The priests are required to eat a portion of the Trespass, the Sin, The Meal and the Peace offerings. However, the Jews are unable at the moment to perform proper offerings as there is no temple.
The blessing said in Kosher slaughter.
Bro-stein, the blessing translated is:
Blessed are You, Lord our G-d, King of the Universe, who has sanctified us with His commandments, and commanded us regarding “shechita.” (Ritual slaughtering methods)
Nothing at all about sacrifices.
I never said it was about sacrifices. (Jews haven't done blood sacrifices since the destruction of the Temple in 70 C.E.) I said there was a brief religious blessing.
From your reply to Gaygin:
“Every Hallal killing requires recitation of a brief religious homage, noting that the animal is made in SACRIFICE.
So does every kosher slaughter.”
I took it to mean you are implying kosher slaughter is made IN SACRIFICE.”
Oops.
Nothing to apologize for. I didn't make myself clear, and it's hard to figure out who said what when one person is replying to another.
Have a happy and healthy new year, FRiend.
