The CG should fall under the Navy or at least DoD. Not some fake Bush made up agency like DHS.
While constitutional, it is a high crime to the luciferian globalists. Peach footeefibe!
Same with the fence.
Traditionally the Coast Guard fell under Treasury. They were seconded to the Navy in time of war. I worked with a retired Coast Guard Officer, and New London graduate. He said he spent half his career assigned to the Navy as a navigator. Even before the recent incidents, the Navy must have known they needed navigators.
Interesting. Thanks.
Why Treasury? Counterfeiting?
The Coast Guard was formed by merging the Revenue Cutter Service and the Lifesaving Service in 1915. The Revenue Cutter Service was founded in 1790 as part of the Treasury Department.
Think “Revenue Cutter”. The original mission was to prevent smuggling.

That pays the Coast Guard. What about Border Patrol and ICE, not to mention the Secret Service?
Every exception the President make to get one organization paid is only going to anger another. They can blame the Democrats for the shutdown but who do they blame for the exceptions?
That was nice of him. It should not be possible, in a Republic of laws, for one person to manipulate things individually in this manner.
“Peach footeefibe”
I hear her a bit differently: “Impede FotiFi!”
I agree - give the Coasties to the Navy. Neither its former home in the Dept of the Treasury nor its current home in DHS is a fit.
Perhaps it’s one of the few areas he could alleviate the inconvenience to some of our folks legally - should a good thing not be done for some because it can’t be done for everyone?
I like your imitation of imbecile Maxine Waters.
Since they are part of DHS then I assume they fall under the President's Executive Order cancelling salary increases for federal workers, except military?
Coast Guard was part of Department of Transportation prior to Homeland Security.
And Treasury before that.
It used to be the IRS. (Actually Treasury Department to collect taxes before there was even an IRS.)
Transportation 1967-2003, when it was combined back into an agency with Customs Enforcement, which was the original purpose of the Coast Guard anyway. So the Homeland Security move got it closer to its original purpose.
Which doesn't mean that DHS shouldn't be abolished, along with all the un-Constitutional legislation that accompanied it.
Why isn’t the Coast Guard covered under the military? This sounds like Fake News.
