Yup. I am still dismayed but it went how it went. The deviocrats nearly swept the whole shebang. Just one seat short in the state senate from basically being able to do everything they want henceforth. I don't see it turning around. It's nice to say if las vegas is discounted they R's would have won. But, it isn't discounted. Some lib folks say that the population centers(LV-Reno) spoke for all of us. But, when you look at the raw numbers, the difference was around 80,000 votes. But, 80,000 or 200, they won. So now we will have a gov who will probably NOT spend much time in Carson City. You know, the backwater capital of the state. Oh well. Done deal now.

Never Trumpers lost. No surprise. Zero enthusiasm for any of the candidates.

Just last month I was telling a republican campaign official that the democrats have a ground game, I’ve had democrat candidates show up at my door, (I’m in a somewhat remote exurb), gotten numerous democrat calls, 10:1 democrat to republican mailers. Other than the mailers, it’s pretty much been crickets from the republicans.
The republicans simply don’t have a ground game.

Clean out the illegal voters in Clark County & you have entirely different results.

The GOP-e types almost never campaign to win. Or campaign much at all. Bumps on logs. The kids in the back row who, if they show any life at all, just play around or pass little joke notes to each other.

The Republican Party is so sold out to the fiyoznaci leftists that it reminds me of the nice little kid whos hand- crafted little slot car was, sadly, posted of considerable friction and poor alignment. No matter how hard he wished, and greased it, and pushed, it wouldnt even slide down the hill successfully. Ditto for the GOP-e. Hopeless bunch of ( mostly- deliberate) losers who stand for, represent nothing 😩

Sounds like they ran campaigns like McCain’s presidential campaign.

Yup. Sort of felt the same way. Guess they did a YUGE miscalculation. I didn’t realize they were mostly absent down south in LV. Ya gotta be some kind of dumb not to put a bunch of effort in there.

Virtually everywhere in this midterm election, it's the same thing: The GOPe didn't campaign and didn't do anything in advance to guard against voter fraud whether it be illegals voting or massive amounts of provisional ballots that acted as electoral morning after pills to terminate Republican wins.
The GOPe aren't going to learn anything from this for next time, either. The only true lesson to be learned is to wipe out the RNC leadership along with the Congressional campaign committees, and stock them with conservatives and anyone else who wants to fight to win elections. Leaving the GOPe intact is a recipe for complete losses in 2020.

The Republicans simply dont have a ground game. They don't think they have to. True, they don't have access to the pool of unemployable volunteers that the Democrats have to go around knocking on doors, but there is an elitist attitude prevalent among the GOPe leadership that comes through not only in its lack of ground game but in its messaging, TV ads, and unwillingness to "take the low road" by going after vote fraud.
They think all they have to do is not be a crazy Communist and and the public will automatically vote for them. They forget how dumbed down that "public" really is, and that even the simplest principles of liberty need to be clearly explained and loudly trumpeted - they aren't ideas the public will have even heard before in school, as they would have in previous generations.

The change in CA politics 30 years ago began when the Dems took control of the media and only broadcast the message they wanted.
During Clinton, Media Matters started to change the media message regarding Clinton.
Then they began the attacks on Rush and Faux News.
Now Faux is a shadow of what it was and Rush is limited to radio preaching to only conservatives.
Now they have penetrated the media world wide.

Yes indeed. Romney will go down in history for throwing a shoo- in election victory. Even obammy said he knew he was going to Lose and was !;,already packing his crap to leave our White House. And then Romney folded like a sick deck of cards. And never even raised the key, GLARING weaknesses of his opponent. - most GOP- e candidates run like this running away from any chance of electoral victory. Its parhetic. And the gop doesnt even bother buying ads or organizing get- out- the- vote drives in many places. And forget about on- site real efforts to prevent D voter fraud and ballot- box stuffing. A totally useless party leadership and apparatus. Sad 😢

Many prospective candidates and state GOP organizations are terrified of bad media stories and not being invited to the best parties so they just try to get along rather than fight or be in any way controversial.

Nully's modest proposal to end voter fraud:
Paper ballots with human readable marks. They may be computer generated, and/or computer counted, but there must be a paper audit trail of each vote.
Purple fingers (needs something to prevent an absentee voter/early voter from re-voting at the poll, maybe blockchain, also maybe a mugshot showing the voter an the photo ID taken at sign in? H/T for-q-clinton)
Mandatory free on demand BIOMETRIC (iris scan, nobody ever left their irises at a crime scene!) photo ID, with a database that instantly flags for arrest anyone seeking multiple IDs. Change of name? Simply have your old card voided when you apply for the new one. At each election punch a hole in the ID, like they do in Mexico (H/T spokeshave2)
No precinct reports their totals until ALL precincts report they have totals. No results are released until all results are in. This prevents the last to report precinct captains from knowing how much to fudge a report to give a win to their preferred candidate while maintaining some slight semblance of credibility.
Repeal Motor Voter.
End same-day registration where it exists, and allow ample time between registration and election for vetting of credentials of registrants.
Instantly deport any non-citizen who registers to vote.
Put a little ⩍ next to the names of those registered voters with death certificates, and detain and put a 72 hour psychiatric hold anyone claiming to be a dead person...

Seems to me that Nevada can easily be explained by using demographics.Far too many Kalifornians and people whose last name ends in a “z”.
