Don't forget all the antibacterial plastics that are used in toddlers' toys and then dumped into landfills. They continue toughening those little devils up and plastics are forever.
The government has spent quite a bit of time and money convincing folks that trivial amounts of harmful substances, like second hand smoke, cause extensive harm. The mold and radon rackets developed along the same lines. You reap what you sow.
Anyone who is highly allergic to mold can tell you how sick it makes them. And the range of symptoms is all over the place. So much so that one simply could not imagine that they are connected to mold. Not until you remove yourself from the mold and suddenly all the symptoms disappear. You can all laugh all you want, but it is no joke to those that can’t tolerate it. Long term exposure for those people leads to permanent damage to the body(such as brain damage and hearing loss) and can even lead to death.
Ever drive through the University of Maryland Campus? These self absorbed snowflakes are too stupid to even look for cars before crossing the street.
It’s bred into them that they defy physics.
I once drove a bus through campus and had to stop for the precious angels numerous times as they randomly stepped into traffic.
And they have never learned to clean anything properly since they have been alive?
Thats a 1950s robomom. Moms today do not clean. Or cook. Or stay at home.
My company has been involved in moving seniors from apartments that were found to have a black mold problem into new/clean apartments. Many of them are on oxygen or have CPAP machines and have other allergy, lung & heart-related health problems. Perhaps it’s just typical for elderly people, but I do think it might be because of the mold exposure. When I work in these apartments, especially, if we can’t open the windows, I feel pretty crappy for a day or two; eyes & nose itching & running, low grade headache.
It will be interesting to see if there is improvement in those we’ve moved, once they’ve spent some time in their new apartments. Most have had their clothing specially cleaned and the furniture and decor treated during the transition as well.
The snowflakes need to buy some Clorox. Are they too used to having domestics clean up after them that they can’t dip a sponge in bleach?
Always told my kids that “a good layer of dirt keeps you warm in the winter”.
Of course they were required to shower before bed and wash up before meals, otherwise dirt is, to quote the hippies “NATURAL”.
My daughter-in-law is a Robomom. And she works full time put runs a tight ship. So does my wife’s youngest sister. Works full time as a loan officer but keeps her one still at home daughter on her toes.
Let me ask you something. How many of those seniors were being given stuff like Ensure? Do you know what that is? It’s that thick, milky like ‘nutrition’’ drink they give to the elderly. The stuff is poison in a bottle. Loaded up with gluten and milk it cots those poor folks lungs with mucus and crap that makes it hard for them to breathe.
Dirt is natural. It’s healthy in a kind of way, seriously. You coudn’t keep me and my crew out it. Dirt bombs were the best. Today’s parents are doing their kids a big dis-service keeping them out of it.
I’m a licensed mold consultant in Texas. I’ve taken thousands of air samples inside buildings with growing mold. I then take reference air samples outside the building. In 99.99 percent of these cases the concentrations of individual species of mold outside are MUCH higher than what is in the indoor samples. But the people see mold and suddenly they’re ill. Psychosomatic in most cases if you ask me. But, if the mold has started growing on clothing (shoes, jackets) and other items like suitcases, you have a serious infestation. I’ve seen this a few times, with spore counts indoor (of a single mold species) over 150,000 spores per cubic meter. Very rare, though. These kids should learn to use Lysol (or other turpine based cleaners) and take care of themselves. Dumb snowflakes.
I moved into an apt and suspected the industrial short loop carpet hadn’t ever been cleaned. I rented a machine...and the THIRD pass over the carpet produced water as jet black as the first. Took about 6 passes be for the water went light grey.
If the problem is with moisture leaching into the ceiling and walls from poor maintenance, there is nothing they can do to keep mold out of everything.
I hear you. I used to work in construction. The last decade was for big home builders in NJ.(Toll Brothers, Hovnanian) The whole ‘mold’’ thing was a total scam. The other scam was the ‘’radon’’ scare. All the yuppie soccer moms would freak out over a little bit of mold in the basement and suddenly you’d think they found Sarin or something. “Think of the children!’’ I tried once or twice to gently tell these women “Madame, I’d be more concerned about what’s in your dirty laundry hamper than whats on the basement wall’’. Dumb, like you said. For crying out loud when I think of growing up as kid in the late 50s and 60’s my Mom kept a clean house scrubbing the floors with Mr. Clean or some bleach. And if we got a little dirty, so what?. Soap and water took care of it.
If mold gets into the walls and or ceilings of buildings the only way to get rid of it is to fix the leaks causing the problem and then tear the wall or ceiling covering off and treat the rest with a bleach or equivalent solution.
I have done my share of cleaning , hospital rooms, nursing homes and carpet is the worst. Nothing but a giant breeding ground for filth. I prefer wood floors or ceramic tile.
That’s true but exposure to mold that is described by some students can lead to life long problems whenever the weather produces an overabundance of it.
