McRaven is both an Obama stooge and a classic example of those who reach the stars forgetting all about what it was like when one was an O-2 or an EM. The totally foolish ROE’s don;t bother those so much who are engrossed in the never ending dance of GO/FO politics and endless stupid briefings. And McRaven didn't lead anything, he was in a comfortable office or operations center thousands of miles from where the rubber was supposedly hitting the asphalt.

McRaven didn’t lead the mission. He watched it on a TV screen in another country. Dick Marcinko through him out of seal team six because he got upset at methods and tactics and rowdy behavior. He’s your typical prig navy officer Who thinks he’s some kind of royalty. He never did fit in. Now he walks around growing that he let the mission? Laughable.

This “raid” has been puffed up to mythical proportions. A fouled up as Pakistan is, it is at least somewhat of an ally. It was a virtually unguarded house in a semi-friendly country. This was nothing like Operations Ivory Coast (Son Tay) or Eagle Claw (Desert One). The real trick was getting the aircraft in and out, and not anything the Seals did. As usual, Trump is correct, in this case about McRaven.

the raid that took out Osama bin laden was for show because a election was coming up and Barrack Obama did not want it to be a issue in the election but instead a way to say he was fighting terrorism when instead he was using his position to enable the radicle Muslim population.
