The one of the major overlooked aspects of this year. Given the large number of Senate and House Never Trumpers who are gone, and the relentless campaigning Trump has done on GOP canidates behalf, the GOP side of the new Congress is going to be a much more Trump friendly place.

If the GOP holds, the Dems are really going to be violently unhinged at how powerless they will be for the next 2 years.

I'm seeing GOP out numbering the Dems in early voting. In the past, the GOP has always won in spite of Dems early voting advantage.

I think that the GOP will have 2016 Presidential level voting, combined with up to 30% of the Dems voting GOP, it'll make the Dems start acting like it's Jonestown all over againl.

Forty-five! I mean, that is a huge number. Many of them are committee chairmen. Not all, but many of them are committee chairmen and they are resigning or retiring because they don’t want to go back to being chumps — you know, just regular House members...yes, but they were Committee chairmen because they had been in the House for many years, and they had been in the House for many years because they were reelected many times, and the were reelected many times because they were in reliably Republicans districts, and because their districts have been and probably still are in the main heavily Republican, the newcomers running to replace them should have an advantage, and a high percentage should win.....

We are not electing a Senator from our state this time, so no help there.

Our Representative is R and will easily win due to gerrymander of our state, but at least it is one more R in Congress.

You might be right if the election was today. Even Hannity said that if it were yesterday the Dems would be 5 over. But... the trend seems to be running toward Trump and the GOP. I think it might be a slight GOP majority. But then again, it could be a blow out for the Grand Old Party! There is one thing. As much as some of us had a distaste for him in the primaries, Trump has breathed new life in the Grand Old Girl! And he’s kept his promises! We are no longer Never Trumpers, or Trumpers, or Cruz men. He are proud Republicans and Donald Trump is our leader! Sure seems a lot like Churchill!
