Liberals spread destruction wherever they go.
Special Ed comes to the Bronx High School of Science.
The purpose is to transform it into indoctrination while undermining the fundamental purpose of education, to provide the building blocks necessary for productive, self-sufficient citizens.
Indoctrination instead of education. The dumbing down of America
Otherwise known as "More Science High".
Affirmative action for white kids.
Re-distribution of the willfully ignorant in order to punish individual achievers.
>>Either the schools would need to provide intensive remedial help, he said, or youre going to have a large number of kids who cant hack it, through no fault of their own, and youve set them up for failure.
That’s an easy fix for the leftists.. just decree that schools aren;t allowed to give failing grades... everybody gets an A. Then, make it illegal “hate” speech to point out that these kids haven’t learned the material.
the dumbing down of America continues unabated!!
Sure, good teachers matter, but learning occurs when a child is motivated to learn and is in an environment that encourages it and rewards it. Parents need to be involved, be aware at all times how their children are doing, and be committed to getting them help when they need it. We need loving, caring, involved parents - not ‘elite’ magnet schools etc. Usually these schools turn out good graduates because those who send their kids to these schools often fit the description above.
DeBlasio doesn't want to confront the real issues, as they are societal and apart from his liberal ideology.
“To get equal results you must discard standards.”
Bingo.
That will be next on the de Blasio agenda. As the unprepared students don’t pass muster in 9th to 12th grade at these schools, the de Blasio political trbpe will claim the tests during the classes are “racially biased”. [That will be intended to blame “whites”, even though, proportionally, Asians will likely get the highest test scores.]
The big diff with schools like this -
Curriculum and pace are fast. They teach more faster.
They waste kids time less. Its like 2+ years of college in effect.
Peers, that is, other students. Top brains meet top brains, compete and collaborate.
Vouchers, vouchers, vouchers in grades 1-8 BEFORE high school, and then more “minority” students would be better perpared for the rigorous standards to get into the “elite” high schools.
It's the favorite tactic of leftists:
Find something good and ruin it.
That may be true, but its not an unusual circumstance. The same applies to job interviews and many other things in life.
It also weeds out students who are illiterate and not at all prepared for any advanced studies. It also bars exceptional students who are qualified and prepared and did study for years and perform well on test day because they gave away your seat to someone who doesnt deserve it.
Let’s save the money and just hand out Mikkie d ‘s school of burger certificates at birth
Bingo! This is the only way to mask the truth.
Eating our own seed corn.
I went to Stuyvesant and took the test with absolutely no preparation as I had the mumps prior to the test. So the idea of needing all the preparation is nonsense. Those who can’t pass should not be allowed in and can go to a school better suited to their pace and be successful there. It wasn’t actually a great experience for me as I’m not particularly good at math and science and got in on my English scores but still, there have to be standards and the test had no race based data on it so it was all merit.
