Cable televisions growth was based on Headline News, WGN/Cubs, WTBS/Braves, and the Weather Channel.
Headline News switches to HLN and becomes unrecognizable and doesn’t show any headlines and The Weather Channel (with locals on the 8’s) doesn’t show any weather. Both are unwatchable today...
Remember when, I think it was msnbc around 2003 was promoting Ashleigh Banfield as its newest star. I laughed then and now with the self promo that ended with her just staring at the camera and pursing those lips for about five to ten seconds.

LOL she is a pathetic liberal. Which is probably why they gave her a show in the first place. They used to promote her show and the commercials disappeared a long time ago. I looked at the schedule one night while watching “Forensic Files” to see if it was still listed (2 or 3 months back).

Perhaps HLN decided it’s time for some fresh female faces who are going to make it less likely that HLN’s remaining male viewers will turn the channel when they come on.
HLN finished as the No. 49 most-watched primetime network on basic cable during the week of Oct. 8-14, behind networks such as Animal Plant, Oxygen, VH1 and the Lifetime Movie Network.
