My watch is a Series 3.
So you must have used wifi or bluetooth, I’m guessing
Can you please show me an article saying that Khashoggi had no cellular service on the phone he left with his wife? No article I have read says that. I did read the Techcrunch article about Turkey coverage for the Apple Watch, but there’s no reason Khashoggi’s phone would not have worked.
I also am not convinced that the Apple Watch doesn’t work in Turkey. Next time I’m there, I’ll test it.
.
The Saudi use mostly sattelite phones (Iridium)
No they don’t.
I work in the region, and work with many Saudis. I can assure you that those iPhones are not Iridium... ;)
.
I’ve done work for the Kashoggi family here, and they do use Iridium phones.
.
Where is “here?”
.
SF Bay Area.
Can’t tell you why they would use Iridium phones in SFO. I can tell you that I have never seen a Saudi using an Iridium phone—gold-plated iPhones, sure, but never Iridium. In any event, we can conclude that Jamal Khashoggi was not using an Iridium phone, because the articles all say that his wife provided Khashoggi’s iPhone to them and they accessed data from there.
