The U.S. military moved its aircraft from the Panhandle on Monday. Roughly 50 F-22 stealth fighter jets valued around $150 million each have been relocated from the Tyndall Air Force Base, while the U.S. Navy said it is moving all its training aircraft from Pensacola.
First of all, I’m praying that this storm weakens and the panhandle is spared. I’m connected to the area from many years of vacationing, working and living briefly in Apalachicola, and this year bought property(land only) in Wewahitchka. But I was just thinking as watching the TRUMP rally, I sure hope in the aftermath, the great people of the panhandle don’t have difficulty voting, resulting in those creeps Gollum and Nelson benefiting from the solid red population being more affected than the rest of the state.
I’m headed down there in November regardless. Thoughts are with everyone in harms way tonight.
Yes, the voting could get messed up. Hopefully Scott has planned for that.
I still haven’t seen anything about what happened to all those F-35s at Eglin.
Camille was a shocking storm. I was very young but I remember our family going over there soon after Camille. It was shocking.

Good grief—look it up and get back to us.
“There are a large number of F-35s at Eglin. I wonder if they are being moved.”
“I take it you didn’t read the story at the top of the thread.”
Backoff Frenchie!!
Yarddog asked about F35s. The article and you mention F-22s. So whose got the reading comprehension issue here?
My, but maps were very primitive in 1969...
What the hell is wrong with everyone on this thread. I asked a simple question and get stupid attacks which are totally misplaced.
BTW, I did try to look it up and got nothing.
keep looking if you need to know.
We are nice and tided up safe. This isn’t as big a storm as Irma and it wasn’t that bad here.
If it gets REAL bad, we’ll go inland. The boat will be fine.
36ft Tashiba. Built like a brick (kinda sails like one too :D ).
We survived Matthew, Irma and will be fine with Michael.
Next year, we’ll be in Maine or something at this time of year.
Pray for 30-A.
I was just curious.
For some reason this really irritates me. I mean it really irritates me and I usually just let things roll off my back.
I have two people attacking me for asking a totally innocent question. What is your problem?
We’re quite a way inland as it is (about as far from the Atlantic on the ICW as you can be). More worried about the rain and will we have to go to work Thurday.
Also, we are quite away from the Atlantic on the ICW.
Here, this is a link to info on our boat. The photos are our boat, but, before we bought her.

The internal design is a little different. They were semi-specialized by the Ta Shing Shipyard.
Wow!!! That is a spooky looking radar image. Dear Lord, please keep all in the path of this storm safe. Amen.
You mistake my gentle guidance to do your own research for an attack when there is a catastrophic hurricane bearing down on my home state. That is rich.
I am always appreciative of your threads here on FR. Ive read them for years but rarely comment. Thanks for all that you do. I am in the middle of South Carolina, just east of Augusta Georgia and west of Columbia. I also have property in Georgia, just north of Tallahassee Florida, so I am always interested in your reports. Thanks again.
