Yes, I know of Sen. McGovern’s heroic exploits during the war. In his defense many people of his generation became enamored with Liberalism, at least for a time.
I knew an old guy who flew B-17’s out of England. Said most of their pilots wouldn’t go near a B-24. The B-17 had cable controls. You could take a lot of flak and still bring it in for a landing. The B-24 had hydraulic controls. One hit on a line and you were done for.
That makes McGovern’s feat all the more remarkable.

I was fully aware of that. Someone had made the factual error of placing McGovern in NORTH Dakota, while I was making a gentle reproof of the error.
Incidentally, “Dakota” is one of the tribal divisions of the Sioux native North American tribes, which include the Lakota and Nakota branches. They covered the region from Minnesota to Montana, and north into Manitoba, southern Saskatchewan, and Alberta in Canada.
I know. I was born there.
She figures she’s gone anyway, she’s down about 10 points in the polls even before the vote. She’s hoping for future employment in a Dem administration and if she voted in favor of Kavanaugh she would have no hope of a cushy job as an Undersecretary of something or other.
Her reasoning.

I dislike his politics, but I admire his other accomplishments. He's an interesting dichotomy.

Good news, Heidi, at least with Trump as president, there are lots of other jobs available after you lose in November.
There is still some truth in that.
Both those clowns never had a pair of pants that fit them, let alone a respectable hairpiece.
Now one of them lives in a seaside villa in Ireland while baldyboy sports around with a long lean blonde half his age.
