Maybe not. McLean does not know if there is someone else out there who has been “coached” by Ford and if the committee already has testimony. The boy friend letter could be bait in a 2nd perjury trap. If McLean testifies to a lie to protect Ford’s lie she will be charged. McLean doesn’t know whats out there that could prove the boyfriend’s testimony.
1- I doubt Grassley would run with a he said she said without corroboration.
2- I doubt Grassley would put McLean’s name out there without proof.
3- I know Trump would not have unloaded on Ford without proof she is lying.

If so, I read the report that was submitted. To my mind there’s some lack of clarity on that.
