The same poll claimed that Hillary led Trump by 11 points in Mid-October, and would get almost 330 electoral votes.

The telephone survey of 900 registered voters was conducted September 16-19. It carries a margin for error of 3.27 percentage points.And that's all the info we get on methodology.
It's a crock poll.

The CNN and quinnapiac outliers were about to drop off the RCP generic ballot, so NBC had to replace those outliers with their own to keep the thumb on the RCP average.
It happens like clockwork. You’ll see 4-5 polls clustered in a range. D+5 to +8 for example in the most recent average and one poll way out of line.
NBC will be the new thumb on the RCP average for the next two weeks.

And remember when his polls told then-majority leader Virginia’s Eric Cantor was 75 points ahead?
Unknown Brat easily defeated Cantor in the district’s 2014 Republican primary.....even though Cantor outspent Brat by hundreds of thousands.
